After having a couple really tough days this past week, and having to remind myself who I am and who I was created to be, Don't give up! was a phrase I repeated many times. After reading this facebook post from one of our AMAZING Grace and Strength Lifestyle ladies, I totally had to snag it and share. No matter what you are going through, what you are trying to accomplish, what you are enduring, or how 'it' may feel, I encourage you to grasp these words, Don't give up!
I had the pleasure of coaching a wonderful woman, dear friend and super mom, Lora! When Lora and I first met, we had many things in common. She was my daughters Occupational Therapist at the hospital. Since my daughter was a very frequent visitor at the hospital...it was like we were instant friends. Our daughters had very similar issues but with very different diagnosis'.
I am not a fan of tomatoes...never have been. I do, however, love tomato soup! This is a great option for Phase 2 and is so delicious!! Tomato Soup
My journey with Grace and Strength begins with God. Eight months prior to being introduced to the program I buried my little brother due to heart disease and my mother was diagnosed with diabetes. The wake up call was loud and clear, and the flashing red lights were blinding- I NEEDED to change. Having a brother pass away at the age of 29 scared me to death! I didn't want to be next! I was asking myself, "Where do I even begin?" The task of weight loss seemed so daunting. It was paralyzing.
Lace them running shoes up just right…not too tight not too loose…check! Favorite running socks on….check! Groovy running pants and of course a weather tech running shirt...check! And all my son could say to me is, "Wow, so many things have changed about you mom"! He is so right! While on this journey to losing weight and discovering the nutrition in food and the importance of being hydrated a love for running has developed. Many people would consider it crazy to even think of running a mile...
