After having a couple really tough days this past week, and having to remind myself who I am and who I was created to be, Don't give up! was a phrase I repeated many times. After reading this facebook post from one of our AMAZING Grace and Strength Lifestyle ladies, I totally had to snag it and share. No matter what you are going through, what you are trying to accomplish, what you are enduring, or how 'it' may feel, I encourage you to grasp these words, Don't give up!, and repeat it as many times as it takes to reach YOUR breakthrough!
Thank you, Karen!
Don't give up!
Wow guys, I'm sorry I keep posting but I need to share this because I know others feel this way right now. I NEVER EVER thought I could run. I would run a few steps and be so winded I couldn't go on and I couldn't breathe. So I stopped and said my knees hurt (they did) but, once the weight started to come off, because of healthy eating and just walking, I literally could feel my body getting stronger, my endurance level started to increase, I had more energy, and I could sit Indian style without my feet falling asleep. I was so amazed at what my body was doing and how I was feeling, I just needed to tell everybody. I felt limitless. But wait, here I was putting on limits again; I can't run, I'll never run. AND NOW I'M RUNNING! It's baby steps but I'm running! Then my friend Keri said "don't hold onto the treadmill when you run." My response once again "I don't think I'll get to a point where I won't be able to hold on because I feel like I have no balance and I'll fall". There are those self proclaimed limits I keep putting on myself. Well, for two days I have run on the treadmill at 4.5 (90 sec) and NO HANDS! Just running and talking to my Lord as I pray for strength to keep going. I know we do have limits but it is absolutely AMAZING what our bodies are capable of achieving. Thank you, thank you Lord for giving me the strength, endurance, encouragement and role models of amazing people YOU put in my path. Don't give up! Know that we have limits but don't let the enemy make it to where you don't try. Speak to your loving Father and get moving. Even when it's hard, He is faithful and He will let you know when to stop. Rely on His strength but get in the right mindset. Xoxo
